If was quite positively reaffirming to read this, particularly your encounter with Luna. I'm of that age where basically ALL of my friends are having children, and every time one of them starts a new family, I drift away. I know they feel it's because I'm nervous around kids, that's rather common knowledge among my friends, but what they don't know is that the reason I'm nervous around kids is because I don't want to make the parents feel awkward. It's hard to know whether parents will allow someone trans around their children - there's still a certain stigma around it where I come from, and I always have this (perhaps somewhat irrational) fear that the parents would actually rather a trans girl wasn't around their children.
This entry has helped solidify my resolve to get to know some of my oldest and dearest friends a little more, and to give THEM the opportunity to allow or deny my interaction in their family lives, instead of me ostracising myself for their benefit.

Do you mind me asking what kind of retreats you are going to? I skim-read a few of your other entries, but couldn't find anything concrete...

Also, hope you don't mind me adding you. You've got a lot of interesting stuff to say. x
